Where do your computers come from?
Computers supplied by Dataserv have been pre-owned by our many corporate customers,
such as High Street Banks, Utilities and Pharmaceutical companies.
What is your refurbishment procedure?
On receipt all computers are given a unique identification code. They are then
logged into our bespoke computer system at which point the brand, model, specification
and general condition is noted. They are then tested to ensure full functionality
and all data is removed.
Next, an operating system is preloaded onto the computer and re-tested. The
final stage includes thorough cleaning, matching with relevant accessories such
as keyboards and mice and packaging ready for despatch.
All work is carried out by our team of in house technicians.
What condition are they in?
All computers are in good cosmetic condition. Some ‘battle scars’ such as
light scratches or marks may be expected with older models, much in the same
way as you may expect with a used car! If there is any damage to the computers
this will be stated and the computer will be priced to reflect this. In the
case of laptops and TFT screens we ensure to the best of our ability only an
acceptable amount of non working pixels (less than 5), many manufacturers do
not guarantee every pixel is functional even with brand new items.
What warranty is supplied?
Please see our ‘Shipping & Returns’ page
What does ‘pre-load’ mean?
‘Pre-load’ means an item of software pre-loaded onto the computers Hard
Disk Drive. A COA (certificate of authenticity) is supplied to validate the
software, this can be in the form of a paper certificate, a booklet or a certificate
applied directly to the computer.
A CD Rom copy of the software is not supplied.
What does the price include?
